Year 11 students are being invited to prepare a 4 minute speech to be delivered to a panel of judges. The topic of the speech is to be one of Quota’s Hand-in-Hand Projects.

These projects include Learn to Earn in which women in the Philippines are taught skills to allow them to help support their families. Another is a Day Care for malnourished children. Stitch for a Living not only teaches women to sew but then helps set them up in business with a sewing machine that they can pay off in installments.

This competition encourages young people to think of others less fortunate and the prize money they receive is sent to the project of their choice in the student’s name.
