On Wednesday, three of Coolum’s Quotarians were privileged to see the life-changing miracle of cochlear implants switched on for the first time. Clinical Manager of the Hear & Say Centre in Ashgrove ,Jess Balfour Ogilvy, sat with us and explained what was happening.
Quota has a long association with Hear and Say, and Jess received a scholarship from Quota a number of years ago to study in America. Over the next month Indi’s volume will be increased as she gets used to the world of sound for the first time in her young life.
