Quota Club Coolum Beach was the recipient of a grant from the Sunshine Coast Council – Councillor Discretionary Funding. We would like to thank Sunshine Coast Council and Councillor Maria Suarez for the grant. The club purchased a gazebo, tables and chairs and consumables (which the cardboard came in handy for labelling our jams and chutney’s for sale at our recent pop-up stall) with our share of the money. We are very grateful to both the Council and Councillor Maria Suarez as we are a small club of 25 women who fundraise to support the disadvantaged in our community and need equipment and supplies to keep the club viable. Some of these disadvantaged people suffer from mental health issues, domestic violence, homelessness and other issues.
