At our August business meeting, we had the pleasure of welcoming Meg, a social worker from @cittamani, who gave us a very informative and insightful presentation about the wonderful work of Cittamani.

Meg shared information about the services Cittamani provides to palliative care clients in our local community, as well as the important support they offer to caregivers and families during what can be an incredibly difficult time.

It was comforting to learn about the range of practical and compassionate services available to clients and their loved ones during the final months of life. Cittamani works closely with healthcare teams, GPs and Queensland Health’s Specialist Palliative Care Service to ensure clients receive the appropriate medical guidance, care and support they need.

Community donations play an important role in helping Cittamani provide essential equipment free of charge to those they support. This can include wheelchairs, gel cushions and syringe drivers, as well as other equipment that can make a significant difference to the comfort and quality of life of palliative care clients.

We are grateful to Meg for taking the time to speak with us and for giving us a greater understanding of the invaluable work Cittamani does within our community.
